THIS SUMMER THE WORLD COMES TO LOS ANGELES
The Absolut - LA International Biennial Art Invitational 2003 celebrates its Ten-Year anniversary this summer. with international art exhibitions, panel discussions and related events from July 9th through August 16th, 2003.

Over 70 galleries and art institutions throughout Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Brentwood, Venice, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, San Pedro and Pasadena, have invited some 200 artists from 30 countries to exhibit for five weeks in their gallery spaces.
BACKGROUND
The ABSOLUT - L.A. INTERNATIONAL is a nonprofit biennial art event that was first
held in 1993. It was conceived to present Los Angeles with significant international exhibitions, panel discussions and other special events, so as to foster a dialogue between the Los Angeles art community and artists, museums, galleries, curators, collectors and visitors from around the world.
OPENING NIGHT PARTY AT LA COUNTY MUSEUM JULY 8, 8 - 11 PM

This year's Biennial begins with a special Vernissage and viewing of the important international exhibition, "Modigliani and the Artists of Montparnasse" on July 8th at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, presented by the museum's Graphic Arts Council.
There will be music, cocktails, hors d'ouevres and a video installation by Vello Virkhaus
